Baby Fritsche

This little girl is labeled. According to the back of the photograph this is Verneda Fritsche and appears to have been taken at the Nichoson studio in Toledo, Ohio. The photographers imprint is a little hard to read but that is what it looks like.

Funny little tidbit of the day, while all the babies of the time did wear gowns as long as they have hair you can tell the gender. Girls hair was parted in the middle and boys parted their hair off center. The hair on this baby is obviously parted in the middle.

Timeframe: Verneda was born Christmas Eve, 1904 so this picture would have been taken in 1905. Possibly early 1906.

Where It Fits: Verneda is the daughter of Charles Fritsche and Anna Hall. Charles Fritsche is the older brother of Robert Fritsche. Verneda married Burdette Floro and they had Keith, Darrell and Kent.
